Wenjing Yang is a Ph.D. candidate in Animal Biology who studies animal genetics and genomics. Using computational and statistical approaches, she investigates how genetic variation and gene regulation contribute to complex traits in chickens.

Before coming to UC Davis, Wenjing earned a B.S. in Animal Science and an M.S. in Animal Genetics and Breeding from China Agricultural University. Outside of research, she enjoys swimming, running, and exploring new places.
