Parth Bandivadekar

Parth Bandivadekar is a Ph.D. candidate in Chemical Engineering in the Ahn Lab at UC Davis. He combines molecular simulations, protein design, and machine learning to study how protein motion affects function and to identify promising mutations for experimental testing, making enzyme engineering more efficient and predictive.

Before graduate school, Parth worked in industrial process development, where he connected scientific analysis with practical decisions. As president and faculty representative of his department's graduate student organization, he learned to adapt his communication and leadership across different working styles. He also teaches and mentors undergraduate and high school researchers as he prepares for a career as a professor.
