Bio
Parastoo Farajpoor
Parastoo Farajpoor is a Ph.D. candidate in biological systems engineering at UC Davis, conducting research in the Digital Agriculture Lab. Her work applies machine learning and remote sensing to estimate nutrient status in California grapevines, supporting more sustainable vineyard management.
She holds bachelor's and master’s degrees in biosystem mechanical and mechatronics engineering from the University of Tehran, Iran. Before UC Davis, she was a product manager at Tehran Jarah Novin biomedical engineering company. She is passionate about applying engineering to agricultural sustainability. Outside of research, Parastoo enjoys drawing and connecting with her community.
