Leticia Lazaro Anton
Leticia Lazaro Anton is a postdoctoral researcher in the Medical Microbiology and Immunology Department who is leading her own project investigating host-pathogen interactions and the mechanisms that trigger the host's innate immune response. Before coming to UC Davis, she earned her Ph.D. in applied bioscience in Spain, where she studied the metabolic needs of intracellular bacteria within the host. She is passionate about microbiology and enjoys communicating about her work to audiences beyond her field. She is driven by the practical applications of her research and its potential to improve people’s lives. She loves living in Davis, especially the city’s bike culture and open-minded community.
