Kaitlin Clark

Kaitlin (Kasey) Clark is a postdoctoral fellow specializing in regenerative medicine and translational research. She earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from UC Davis and a master’s degree in Stem Cell Biology from CSU Sacramento. Kasey began her research career at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, focusing on mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) treatments for veterinary patients. Currently, she investigates the use of placenta-derived MSCs (PMSCs) for treating spina bifida and studies their immunoregulatory properties and possible applications for central nervous system disorders. Her research emphasizes the therapeutic potential of PMSC-derived extracellular vesicles (PMSC-EVs) and explores bioengineering approaches to enhance EV therapies for degenerative diseases.
