Anindya Karmaker, Ph.D.

Anindya Karmaker, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral scholar in Chemical Engineering who manages several projects in the McDonald-Nandi Lab. His work focuses on vaccines and therapeutics for conditions including COVID-19, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, osteopenia, and cancer.

He has published more than five papers on therapeutics, is preparing six additional manuscripts, and has submitted two records of innovation that may lead to patent applications. Anindya also enjoys coding and entrepreneurship; he participated in the Little Bang! Business Competition and earned a $10,000 award in the Big Bang! Business Competition. He hopes to launch a human therapeutics startup and enjoys traveling, especially to California beaches.
