Angélica Gonzalez-Bastidas

Angélica Gonzalez-Bastidas is a Ph.D. candidate and associate instructor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at UC Davis. With a background in financial law and compliance, she focuses on making legal and financial documents clearer and more accessible for Spanish-speaking communities in California.

She co-founded the Latine Co-Lab, a multi-campus initiative that partners with NGOs and private companies to redesign documents into plain, culturally relevant Spanish. Angélica also serves as co-chair of the Community Engagement and Innovation Committee and as a board member at International House Davis.
