Bio
Alec Avey
Alec Avey studies how pro- and anti-inflammatory signals alter connective tissue function in response to exercise. He hopes to further understand the ideal timing of these signals to help prevent injury, accelerate rehabilitation time, and maximize performance. Alec holds a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior as well as a M.S. and a Ph.D. in molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Physiology. He and his wife are from Sacramento and love to explore everything Northern California has to offer.
