Aktan is a fourth-year Computer Science & Engineering major focused on building functional machine learning tools, particularly in natural language processing. His recent work includes extracting insights from medical records, identifying patterns in brain signals, and experimenting with movement synthesis for animated characters, with a strong interest in connecting curiosity to real-world impact.
Outside the classroom, Aktan supports peers through tutoring and hands-on workshops. He enjoys discussions around LLM evaluation, information retrieval, and transforming early ideas into usable tools. Through EQUIP, he hopes to strengthen his leadership and communication skills while collaborating across disciplines with fellow builders and problem-solvers.
